King Charles Drops the Hammer: Prince Andrew Stripped of Title and Home Over Epstein Scandal
The walls of Windsor are echoing with shock and whispers once again. King Charles III has made one of the most dramatic moves of his reign so far, officially stripping Prince Andrew of his royal title and ordering him out of his Windsor home amid the persistent shadow of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
For years, speculation has swirled around Andrew’s future within the royal family, but Thursday’s announcement from Buckingham Palace made it official: the Duke of York is no longer a prince.
In a statement that was as formal as it was final, Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles “has today initiated a formal process to remove the style, titles, and honours of Prince Andrew.” From now on, he’ll simply be known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, a stark downgrade for a man once regarded as one of the Queen’s most favored sons.

The King also went a step further by ordering his brother to vacate Royal Lodge, the luxurious Windsor mansion Andrew has called home for more than two decades. According to the Palace, formal notice has already been served to end his lease. Andrew is expected to relocate to the royal estate at Sandringham, Norfolk, where future accommodations will reportedly be privately funded by the King, a polite royal way of saying, “You’re on your own now.”
A Scandal Too Heavy to Ignore
The decision comes as renewed scrutiny bears down on Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender whose web of scandal continues to ensnare the rich and powerful.
